carl0s
Never heard of them. What's the special thing about them? Are they just Internet-only bank accounts, or are they some kind of tax-free incentive thing like ISAs ?
Ark
Lots of banks are offering >6% at the moment. It's just a reflection of the base rate going up, and the need to attract more people to save money to offset the banks lending.

Yes they are internet only account. you cant pay in at a brance, you have to transfer money into them. resulting in no ''people'' and resulting in a nice fat intrest rate. Lots of banks are offering >6% at the moment. It's just a reflection of the base rate going up, and the need to attract more people to save money to offset the banks lending. Which other banks/businsses are offering a 6.0%+ intrest rate on savings then?

Thorin
HSBC online saver is 6%. If you have between £50-£250 to put aside every month you can get a Regular Saver account and get 8%, or 10% if you have a Bank Account Plus with them Not that I have any spare money every month at the moment. You open an account and have a standing order of up to £250 per month paying into it. You can't withdraw anything for the 12 months (well you can but you lose any interest), and after the 12 months the money plus interest gets moved into a standard Online Saver account. You can then start another one etc.

Ady
I have my pennies stashed away in 3 online accounts - all paying the intrest back into my 4th account. Get on average about £40 a month - for sod all, just for leaving my money there. The money the other 3 accounts all fund another online account - wich also has a good intrest rate, so my intrest is making me intrest. Its free money, thanks to halifax, barcleys, sainsbusys and asda.

You can have 30% of this if you can send me £10,000 of the British pounds to the following address! These monies are required to release the £5 Million pounds.....
