Kopite
When the Supra goes, i might get a more "normal" car with 200 odd bhp to see me through for a couple of years while I invest cash elsewhere. I still have a bit of an urge for a Cerbera though, if I do get one I'll look at a second car for when the TVR breaks....thinking of a budget of around £1k preferrably upto £2k max. What sort of motor would you get for this? Doesn't have to be super fast obviously, preferably something decent but civil and cheapish to run. Suggestions please folks? Thinking along the lines of Peugeot 306s etc...
RedM
Didn't you ask this recently?
Kopite
Nope, that was for more of a replacement around the £12k mark. Still thinking about that option, if I get a Cerbera then I'd get a runaround also and still get in around the same budget as the other cars on that list
bromy
S14 with leather (exex pack) around 200bhp, should pick a nice one up for 2k
PJ
I've been contemplating a little Starlet Glanza as a nice little runaround, maybe hard pushed at 2k, but certainly for under 3k.

how_supra
I've always fancied one................[prelude]
ozz
Problem with Prelude (I was an owner before the Sup) is that they just don't last. With that budget you are looking at a 4th gen and it will have rust issues unless you are very lucky. Superb cars apart from that though. You can get the odd nice 5th gen but you'll have to pay more. Why not just get something like a pug GTi6? Possible to get an e36 325 or 328 for that money as well now I'd have thought.

fishman
I've been contemplating a little Starlet Glanza as a nice little runaround, maybe hard pushed at 2k, but certainly for under 3k. good choice but, thats ambicious id say at least 4k for a good one. Have a look in my garage 'kopite' ive got a starlet sr, they are very cheap now, and you can get a few little parts that will help it go a bit better....... Sheefa
Mondeo ST24. I've been searching for a good one for a while as they can be had for £2k. Not exactly the most attractive car, but good bit of poke and fairly reliable. TrickTT suggested this originally to me. Failing that, I'd get a Pug GTI Speed 6. dangerous brain
You'll pick up an aristo for circa £2k if you look hard enough. You'll also be able to stick your big single on it before you sell up
