JohnA
Very nice, especially the hurricane. Hopefully we'll eventually get similarly good pictures of the lunar modules on the moon, lol

carl0s
Looks great. I like the blue halo effect thing. On a slightly opposite end of the scale, here are some pictures of a snowflake taken with an LT-SEM microscope. I thought it was impressive too: http://www2.css-networks.com/21.jpg http://www2.css-networks.com/22.jpg from http://www.anri.barc.usda.gov/emusnow/Magnification/Magnification.htm

hiten55
Snowflakes are not NASA pictures how do you know? they may not be taken under a microscope? who knows how big they are up there before our atmosphere burns them up into smaller "blobs". those could be life sized photos taken by hubble or something...... snake
john A Thats what i was getting at ,saw the programme on tv with the american flag waving on the moon .The best one was the absence of a blast crater under the luner module on landing. JohnA
john A Thats what i was getting at ,saw the programme on tv with the american flag waving on the moon .The best one was the absence of a blast crater under the luner module on landing. There's more reasons than the lack of crater. There are pretty good explanations as well (look at the badastronomy website) I've found the arguments on both sides to be equally convincing, so can't say either way. A high-rez shot from the Hubble would be nice, or even the unmanned craft the Japs are now sending. I wouldn't trust anything from countries friendly with the US or even the Russians, since they have equally good reasons to play ball. But the Japs had two nukes dropped on their heads and I'm not sure they'll ever forget or forgive. This kind of news wouldn't exactly show confidence in US technology and might throw the USD into unimaginable depths. Nobody wants that, so not sure if even the Japs would dare spill the beans (IF there are any beans to spill of course!)
