Pot
I have this at my flat where the hot water becomes like lave within a couple of seconds of running, whilst I like my showers and baths like lave (Where you can see your skin turn red as you get into it ), I can imagine it's not great for your kid... This post isn't going to be of much help as I don't have a clue how to turn it down, but isn't there a control by the boiler that you can adjust?... Or just keep her away from the taps? Sorry, I don't have kids, so I can't offer much more than that... I tend to dip my toe in it first... This post is rubbish, I shouldn't have bothered, where's my vodka... edge
Is there a panel you can take off? Should be quite easy to find a dial or guage to adjust. Try not to go below 55'c if you have a thermostatic mixer shower as it could cause problems.

Try not to go below 55'c if you have a thermostatic mixer shower as it could cause problems. There is no dial, there is a blanking plate where one could go though. But on the flap that pulls down it says that is a timer and i have a seperate one of those on the wall. If it helps its a gloworm compact and is about 6 years old (serviced every year by rip off british gas) When I asked the man servicing it about the prob he said "yeah mate they all do that" and started saying stuff about pump overun when the heating is on?? But now my heating is off and its still as bad:blink:
Pete
Mine has a dial for water temp to stop this. Maybe you can replace your control panel and upgrade? Whilst you have heating peoples attention perhaps they can answer one for me to. I've changed my primary and secondary heat exchangers and fitted a new pump. Everything is great, except occasionally after not using the water over night I need to reset the system. Works fine from then on. I perhaps should've cleaned some filters whilst it was drained down. Reckon that could be my problem? Ta

Havard
You may need to fix a mixer valve before some of your outlets if you can't adjust the output from the boiler which I find strange tbh. The boiler should have a valve underneath where the cold water comes in, this valve may only be half open and therefor the water is going through the heat exchanger slowly and it will get hot. You need to find either a quicker way of moving the water through (ie open valves fully and clean all filters) or mix the hot with some cold before each outlet. H. RIJ8631
On the boiler there should be a hot water thermostat - but quite often turning down the temp control doesnt actually adjust the temperature of the hot water. The hot water flow rates should be set to the manufactuers recommendations - this means that with the hot water tap fully open, the flow rate should be 9-13 lts/min depending on capability of boiler. Quite often these are not set, so it means the user has to partially open the taps to get the water warmer, but it means you lose control of the temp and it gets hotter and hotter. The slower the water runs the hotter it gets. I doubt if B.G actually "serviced" the boiler "as per manufacturers instructions" - they tend only to do a "safety check" ie gas flue analysis and dont actually service the boiler nowadays. Get them to do a proper service and commission of the boiler or better still get the manufactuers own engineers to set the boiler up properly- it could be money better spent. Cheers Ia

Its a glow worm campact. if that helps? I'm no muppet round these things as I practicly rebuilt my saunier duval boiler cos no plumber/heating engineer would touch it..lol Just seems like the flow is not as it should be and the water just gets to stage that you CAN NOT put your hand under the the flow..NOT good with a toddler to be learning to wash her hands after everything:( Thanks again all who have replied Dave:)
