xell
and was a bit disappointed! Dont get me wrong, it was a nice car and all but just didn't feel "special". I was looking at getting rid of the supe for something newer but I dont think i'll bother now. The salesman was raving about the performance but it didn't feel very fast at all. Probably because of the linear NA power delivery. Has anyone else driven one of these and thought the same? It was an 03 plate, so the 276 BHP model. scooby_doo_do
I went through exactly the same thing a while back. I thought the 350z souded lovly, but was really let down with the interior/lack or space/and some of the dash buttons you had to reach over too. The only other downside is was that i'm 6"3 and needed another 1/2 inch on the seat to be comfortable. In the end i sold the supra and bought myself an Evo http://www.tripkings.co.uk/pics/evo3.jpg Although i was bored of this after 2 weeks and wish i never sold the supra. :-( It also costs a fortune. Brake pads for the front were £365+vat...and the rears were more. Thats just for the pads :-(
Ian W
just for pads???
scooby_doo_do
Yep.... From Mitsi. Christ know what they are made off! wouldn't even like to ask the cost of the discs as well. I took it to a local garage in the end who got Blue Print pads for £155 (Fronts) £158 (rears) and then charged me £50 to fit them.

RobSheffield
Nice evo, but i have no clue why you would go to Mitsi for pads

You should've taken him out in the Supra afterwards
grahamc
I liked the 350z, but then again I drovew that before I owned the supra...
trooper
The Supe is old but hard to beat in the price range. I think I'll be keeping mine for a while yet!
xell
Oh and the other thing that annoyed me about it was the handbrake placement. Its on the passenger side of the car!
trooper
The handbrake on the wrong side. Shakes head in dissapointment. Japanese cars are now being designed for foreign markets. One reason I like Jap cars is that the controls make sence for Right Hand Drive i.e. Hand brake, indicators, steroe volume etc. are all located for the driver sitting on the Right (where he should be). Shame that they are now pandering to Lefties.
Dragonball
We have both to play with...! 350 is a great car - but is IMHO meant to compete in the Celica range... Good all rounder and the drop top takes just 15 seconds - great with all this sun we are having (*sic*)
Ark
I tested a 350 a few months back - I liked it a lot. It felt nice and new, well styled - it worked for me. But it just doesn't have the sheer thump that a Supra has.

Love it Oddly, my LHD Corvette has the handbrake on the right! When I took my Mum out in it, she went to grab the handbrake in a panic when I gave it some welly I considered a 350z cabrio, but it didn't do much for me. Too 'jelly mould' and I would find it hard going to a car slower than my Supra.
