Chris Wilson
http://www.racecarsdirect.com/viewlisting.php?view=6498 Pretty sure this could be adapeted to a MKIV with new bells and some bracketry! 1/2 tempted to buy bthem for stock and have a play with them on my Skyline. Would need to price up new discs and see how much pads were though, but a nice weight saving!

tbourner
A few car programme type people have said that they don't offer much feeling and unless you're really going for it and warming them up they're not very good. Probably tosh for the programme but never mind.
Chris Wilson
Hmm, good point, only one caliper and disc, must put my glasses on next time... Doesn't exactly look brand new, either, to me.
SimonB
Yeah, they were heavily critisised by quite a few reviews I read saying they had no feel at all. Might be down to the fancy electronics the SLR has controlling them though.
silvershark44
Yeah they are reported to have absolutely no feel to them, yet the stopping distance from well over a 100mph is nothing. So I dont really understand how brakes which reportedly have no "feel" to them can stop such a heavy car at such a high speed so effectively. I would suggest that this "feel" factor is probably a lot to do with other stuff on the car such as suspension set up or something and not soley the brakes. But I am most likely talking bull

kosmic
Probably due to the fact that ceramic/carbon brakes needs lots of heat in them to make them bite properly hence why most they may not seem to have much feel, ideal for a track car but not for a road car IMHO. They glow bright orange though when heated up
