JohnA
Where some people see a threat, I see an opportunity If it's OK to wear a full burqa, then *you* can wear it too. Yes, YOU, dude. There is no law saying you need to have ovaries to wear one, not even keep on your person a certificate of religion. If more people were wearing burqas, the UK would be a different place: imagine the queues in the banks, the passport office or the driving exams. Burqa-lads entering an off-licence. The possibilies are endless! He he...

Pete
Isn't a Burqa sexist? Its like saying "YOU,.. WOMAN,.. COVER YOUR FACE, YOU'RE MINE" It's not just attached women. Many Muslims believe that the Islamic scripture, the Qur'an, and the collected traditions, or hadith, require a woman to dress and behave modestly in public. It's probably only sexist if you say men can't wear them.

Gamer
To be honest, I would prefer them to let them keep their Burqas on. There are more then enough women walking around with mustache's as it is, no need to get them all out.

imi
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6159046.stm "The burqa, a full body covering that also obscures the face, would be banned by law in the street, and in trains, schools, buses and the law courts." Seems fair to me. Lets hope the same happens in the UK.
