Rear tyres - how long are yours lasting?

As you may know I'm new to Supra owning, had mine 2 1/2 weeks.

my rear tyres are bald and I can see from invoices that they were only replaced 4500 miles ago and before then about another 5000 miles!!!!!!!!!!!![sHOCK][/sHOCK]

Is this normal? if not thats quite shocking use of tyres!!

If normal what harder wearing tyres do you guys run and how long do they last

They shouldn't wear any quicker than tyres on other cars. If a previous owner (or yourself) regularly pulled off aggresively enough to spin the wheels, then they obviously wear quickly. Soft compound tyres will also wear quickly.

Mine last for ages. Had the car 2 years, still on the same rubber with plenty of tread.... but I do drive like a grandad! :)

My goodyear f1's last me 10k miles I believe. That's around what I do a year anyway and I usually end up replace the rears every year and the fronts every two.

Of course I don't drive like too much of a nutter :innocent: so milage may vary ;)

Worth getting full suspension geometry checked out by someone who know's what they're doing though.

Guys it depends how hard you drive yeah?

I love a bit of street drifing and having fun myself and therefor a set of Falken 451's woudl last about 1000 miles. Eagle F1's about 1500.

Pootle around and theyll last the full 12k!
