Guest Steve Burnett
Just wondering if you owners could tell me some of the bad points about your Supra's.High repair bills and anoying stuff etc. Im mostly interested in 95/96 6 speed TT. I had an RX7 and as some of you know the bad points about them are the need for an engine rebuild and the complicated turbo set up. If either went wrong then you were talking rather a lot of money to put right and that was once the problem had been traced. Thanks in advance for your replies
Supradan
The plastic surgery to remove the smile from your face can be a bit expensive...lol:d :d
Pete
Bad points...lots of fuel compared to a Fiesta Diesel. Can't think of any others. Seriously, treat 'em right, service them regularly and don't do silly mods it'll last you forever. Obviously some wear and tear will happen, but that's only to be expected. Guest Steve Burnett
I've regularly seen cars advertised with over 100K miles on them which says a lot about the car. As for fuel, the RX7 I had gave me about 8-12mpg so spending a lot on fuel is nothing new!
RedM
Bad points: Everything other than it goes fast and looks nice.

Homer
I genuinely find it hard to find faults... - Not sure if this is normal, but the steering lacks feedback at times. However, I've not had the allignment done since the Eibachs were fitted - The standard finish on the dash scratches easily - Some find the 6spd gearbox is a little agricultural (sign of a strong box ) - Front seats on the eariler models seem to wear easily - The 'small' Jap brakes are not good for stopping from 150+ or track days - Can be hard to find a local garage that knows what they're doing with one

Scoboblio
people saying that autos are better and the uk are faster The never-ending supply of people who say "oh it's an auto" and "I couldn't live with an auto, I like to feel like I'm driving the car", despite having no talent and having never driven an automatic, let a lone a supra. /rant mode off. Other than that it's all good
jamesmark
i think the auto box is fantastic, but i think a five speed auto woudl have been nice
hogmaw
Here are some problems that you may encounter: - people slagging you cos it's 'only' a toyota - kids might scratch or key your supra cos they are jealous little wnakers - speeding fines cos 100mph feels like 60mph - disapproving looks from the neighbours cos of the big meaty exhaust - a wallet that is permanently empty cos you cannot resist the mods - jealousy from your g/f or wife cos of all the babes that suddenly take an interest in you I could go on and on
Tricky-Ricky
Going to be brutally honest! i went from my 335BHP Nissan S14 to my six speed TT and initially found it slower, the gearbox is clunky/notchy and in general hard to get used to, the steering is on the slow side, but despite all this it has grown on me, i love the looks and the exhaust note is great, now its decatted i can feel its potential for power. SatSport
This is NOT the car for you... if you`re the self-conscious, shy, withdrawn type, lead a sheltered existance, don`t like people pointing, kids waving...etc....etc.....etc..
