I wonder if the timing gear can measure how long it takes for you to remember which lights mean go?

Reaction time: 25 seconds, 1/4 mile: 13 seconds, Top speed: incomplete... He forgot where he was going!:p

err. did you go to a different one then. it was 1.7 miles the times i've been and Richie posted this on the 200 board:

'Steve yep your right excuse my sausage fingers 1.7miles it is plus 1/2 mile braking'

(he did say 2.7miles)

Looks like you wont be able hit 180 :(

:conf: Is it just me, or is that more confusing than ever now? :conf:

I thought it was 1.7 miles in total with 1/2 mile braking distance, giving a run length of about 1.2???

Makes sense in my wierd mind.:conf:

'1.7miles plus 1/2 mile braking' = 2.2miles o/a.

From the standuing start you will go through the trap 1.7miles later and then 0.5miles to make sure brakes work or its grass cutting time:eek:

Last year, the first 1/2 mile of the track/runway was taken up for queing space as the first bit was too pot-holed...

I'm not saying you're wrong... It'd be great to get more top speed :D

So are there going to be two cars side by side doing 160 mph?

I don't remember any exit road for people not wanting to do a top speed run.

Matt,

I thought that was normal. The start line has been in the same place each time from what i can remember, & it has been the same distance each year.

Then later on they open up the entire runway for a longer run. When he stated the run lenght i assumed it was the car run, not the o/a runway length.

What ever it is, it willl still fun - the longer the better.

:)

Justin,

Yeah, i dont think there is a run of on the left hand side either - not that i was really looking though. it has been mentioned but not confirmed, that the top speed run will be single runs, with the 1/4 mile for dual runs only.

SV

Sorry guys blowing of engines will not be tolerated at this event.

Just to clear up the runway lenght thing, the V-max will be measured after 1.7miles then leaving you 1/2 mile to brake. This should be 1/4mile but I have made allowances for the MKIV's......

Hi guys/girls the DVD which is being produced showing every car at the event will be available shortly after the day. You can pay for your copy on the day and it will be sent out to you as soon as it has been produced. Cost is £13 inc P&P.

Cheers Richie
