Nic
What are the prices on those?? I like the look of that colour one SBC i-Color I can do for £425 including postage at the moment.
letmeshowyou
you dont have to upgrade or add anything - however it's a little pointless adding one to a stock car. The stock ECU gives fuel cut at 1 bar of boost, and running higher than stock boost with both cats in (although possible) isnt a fantastic idea either. Pig
Yes there are, have a search for BPU and that wil explain whats needed when upping your boost. e.g. spark plugs, decat, exhaust, restrictor ring and FCD. I think it may be possible to strap one of there on and up your boost without doing anything else, not sure if its safe though
BASHTHEBISHOP
well if u still have cats in place, stock fuel pump etc etc then theres no need really, when u decide to go bpu then u can bang in a BC Thanks for quick response;) *responses

supra matt
SBC i-Color I can do for £425 including postage at the moment. hi mate how long will your deal on boost controles run for?
Nic
Newbie question here - but are there other things you should upgrade/add or adjust when adding a BC? Just interested as its a MOD i might add in the near future to my completely stock jspec. Have a read of THIS POST also do a search for BPU and you will find a lot of useful advice. You can increase the boost on a J-spc Supra without the need for a boost controller by removing both cats and fitting an after market exhaust. Nic
hi mate how long will your deal on boost controles run for? Depends on exchange rate and Blitz prices, just give me a shout if/when you want one and I'll do the best price I can for you.
Branners
I would recommend the Blitz SBC-ID and the Powermeter together as you can set boost maps based on speed. If you want to avoid overboosting on most boost controllers you have to set it up for the max boost you want to run which will occur when you are flat out in 4th or 5th. With the SBC-ID and Powermeter you can set the boost settings based on your speed, so you can allow the settings to be higher at low speeds (which means low load on teh engine) and have different settings for high speeds (which is where the highest load will be). It then means you can hit 1.4bar in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th without overboosting. JB
Pig
Hmmm, nice Am i right in saying that this and the colour one are basically the same but the colour one just looks ace!
Nic
Agree with JB, this is the main reason why I fitted the i-color, it is actually cheaper to buy the SBC i-color which has the same features (and more), than it is to buy the SBC-ID III and Power Meter. Branners
dont know about that, Nic knows the colour ones so will answer that. Im hoping when my car comes back from Matt Harwood that I can set up the boost controller properly for speed and auto settings and see how that works. imi
no - that graph shows power and afr there u go. I used to have a Blitz Dual SBC as well, super reliable and used to hold boost really well, until unfortunately for whatever reason, the solenoid failed (im told thats very rare).....now ive got the apexi avc-r and this for whatever reason hasnt been performing right since day one.
