Guest J-spec Calle
Hi guys! To make a long story short; Im a Swedish person who's building a high-power Supra engine using a GT47 turbo etc etc. I just had my head ported and fixed by a known Supra enthusiast (Fabio from Italy), but im looking for a trustworhty company who can build a bullit proof block.. I have the block ready to ship with cp-psitons, carillo rods etc. But i need to get the block bored and the parts balanced and assemblied. Please advise me who's the BEST Supra tuner in UK. Looking to make far over 1000hp, so im not sending my block to the very first person who shows up. They need to be experianced with similar high-power engines before. Please udnerstand my situation and i would be very grateful if you guys could help me out. I could send the engine to the US (which im going to if i dont find any other choice), but im looking for something quicker. Thanks! Carl
Darren
Why not use Arnout? He's Swedish (i think)? Envy have built themselves an extremely quick Supra and Terry S on here seems to be spot on but 1000bhp is a big figure and is never going to be trouble free?! Jake
I would send it to Chris Wilson. The guy is a perfectionist and really knows all there is to know about Supras. Arnout is Dutch, by the way.

Carl, there's quite a few proven Supra engine builders here in the UK, take a look around the forum to see who's doing what
Darren
Arnout is Dutch, by the way. Thanks for the correction! The Dutch are perfectionists too!
Guest J-spec Calle
Thanks for all the quick help guys! Im an importer of Japanese and UK cars to Sweden, so i know that there is a lot of Supras in the UK. So there should be tuners also.. Ive done some searches, but its always best to ask around a little bit. I know that my engine wont be trouble-free, but i want it as close as possible! Running on a setup who's pretty much the same as they have in the high-hp cars in the US and other places around the globe, and i have lots of help from experianced people. Although, its the block i need to get fixed by a proffessional. All my other parts CAN carry up to 1500hp, so the block need to be asseblied to do the same.. Not aiming that high though.. Guest J-spec Calle
hmm.. looks like MK3 is the most popular car on that forum..?
Lucifer
We would take the project on and deliver the Magic 1000 too. Although don't expect a long life with an engine like that. We build street and race engines, map using the latest software and tools. We build Supra's from teh groud up. Speak to anyone on here who has had Engine or chassis work done by us. They are Very happy. Email me through our site if you are interested, I can prepare you a full quote. If it is just the block, we can turn that around for you quickly and reliably. I have photos of a few blocks we have recently done to high horsepower.
Jake
hmm.. looks like MK3 is the most popular car on that forum..? I think the MK3 is a lot more common than the Mk4 in Holland. Arnout has a lot of experience with the MK4 too though. Sadly when I was trying to buy some items from him he never replied to my emails so I bought elsewhere. Also, he's not a member of this forum any more because he will not pay the small membership fee and feels that he should be paid to answer technical questions. Like I said before Carl, I would seriously consider getting Chris Wilson to build you a serious engine, if you want it done right. Anyway, good luck with it. We'd love to see some progress pictures or some updates now and then. Cheers

Pete
I would send it to Chris Wilson. The guy is a perfectionist and really knows all there is to know about Supras. Perfectionist indeed - he's a "classicly trained" engineer - what I mean by this is he's been doing tuning since he could hold a spanner and does everything by the book properly and has played with all sorts of exotic race machinery. He's currently building a big power Skyline for himself. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=33939&highlight=skyline
Gaz Walker
Thanks for the recomendation Darren We could take on the work for you, I won't go on though... our Supra experience speaks for itself. Gaz.
Chris Wilson
A genuine 1000 BHP engine is strictly race only. I wouldn't dream of building one on CP pistons, for a start, though. Expect a life measured in a few hours if used to its capacity. It will have to run proper race fuel, a proper management, and all steel internals with serious cams and a mapping on an engine dyno. I am aiming for 700 BHP from my 2.6 Skyline engine, as it will be for track usage. A 1000 BHP Skyline engine is drag race only, as it's life would be too short on wide open throttle for longish periods. The Supra engine will be simialr, even though it has a few more CC's.
