dannyspeed
ive got 19+9 alloys on the front and the car been lowered by 30mm and every now and then the wheels rub the arches slightly mostly at slow speeds if i hit a slight bump turning a corner. the wheels are Racing Hart CX's with goodyear eagle 245/35 tyres on. Is this a common prob and what can i do to fix it. Im planning on taking the beast on a track this year and would like to get this sorted before hand. Ian W
well, you should either change to a 245/30 or a 235/35 as your current setup actually makes the rolling radius larger than stock anyway.
Nic
30mm drop and 19" wheels is going to make for poor track handling, are you able to raise the ride height?
dannyspeed
Na iv just got adjustable damping is what i got a bad setup then for track use?
Nic
Na iv just got adjustable damping is what i got a bad setup then for track use? 30mm drop at the front is quite a lot, that plus the combination of the 19" wheels and incorrect tyre sidewall heights, will not have a good effect on the handling. dannyspeed
so is a 245/30 tyre better to go for then. il need to change them soon in any case.

It'll be the correct rolling radius then, which may solve the issue of the rubbing and make your speedo more accurate. Reducing the sidewall height though is only going to make the ride more harsh in combination with the 19's and low suspension.
jazz1
buy coilovers then you can have it as low as you want and it wont touch a bit:D
Chris Wilson
Na iv just got adjustable damping is what i got a bad setup then for track use? About as bad as it gets... Smaller rims, higher ride height. Too low, inappropriate rim size, sorry, it's just the way it is.
Homer
buy coilovers then you can have it as low as you want and it wont touch a bit:D What absolute rubbish. Also, the Supra has 'coilovers' as standard. Please stay out of the technical section until you have a clue what you're talking about
