Supragal
actually that was a bit misleading, they are giving them leisure centre vouchers to combat obesity. Seriously.

Kip
I believe they will be getting vouchers for cinemas, leisure centres etc to get them off the streets - not for obesity. It's because of the latest reports about youths on the streets intimidating people and getting pissed late at night. And they have now where to go - WTF? It's this bloody government that's created it so difficult for youth centres to stay open, wot with health and safety and all the checks the workers have to go through - now theyre whinging the kids are on the streets!! Supragal
Thought I heard it was coz they were porky on Radio this morning. Either way, we used to hang out on the streets it's part of growing up, doesn't mean you're going to kill people. It's the dangerous ones that should be locked up regardless of where they "chill wit derr mates innit yeah"
Supragal
also less and less people do any kind of physical activity... thats cos it's mostly boring I used to love all the sports I did, until I got to about 20 then it all seems really dangerous and pointless. Kip
Some schools have stopped sports because of Health and Safety reasons? Are we heading towards a real Nanny State? - you can do this but not that in-case it hurts you - isn't that my choice?
Ian R
how long before Mc D's come up with a marketing scheme (spend your gym vouchers here)
tbourner
It's stupid, the kids who will use the vouchers are the ones that would go to those places anyway!! The 'yobs' WANT to hang about on the streets and have a laugh - they don't want to go to youth centres and play cricket!!!
Jake
I didn't have a proper mcdonals until I was 17!!!Neither did I - but only because there weren't any McDonalds on the Isle of Wight back then.
Bobbeh
Is it being pro-active? I'll give them a for trying something different, but I didnt need cash incentive to not eat junk food or stay in school.
Pete
Load of bollocks isn't it? I mean, if you're bad you don't get your vouchers. If they're bad - they won't give a pooh!!
