Fitted at the weekend. Relatively easy to fit :) The purple fin makes virtually no difference in noise at low boost, but at higher boost levels 0.9+bar the slightly camp chirp noise is transformed to a much more aggresive low wooosh noise, which is nice :)

Right - ive fitted a purple fin to the ssqv in my current car which is totally stock. Thing is it seems to sound different at stock boost to how my old purple fin sounded at 1.2 bar on my old car. In fact is sounds quiter than the stock silver fin. I dont remember it being this quiet on my old one, but the purple fins seems to make it quieter, but a cooler noise?!

Does everyone share a common experience of the purple fin with me here?

Guest WBsupra

hello,

if someone still cares, i have an old comparison video with my first car;

in the first sequence there is the stock fin, in the next one with the scratching tires (damaged 4x4 box at that time) is the purple fin.

but my supra will get the amazing greddy type-s because i wanted to get rid of hks' tweeting sound.

The gold fin is the same as the the silver one that comes with it, its purely for looks.

The purple just give a deeper woosh.

Don't use a fin and its quieter.

I have tried all 3 fins.

There is no way to make it louder but you can only change the pitch.

Silver & Gold = high pitch

Purple = Deep pitch

No fins = Hardly a sound..
