black cat
not the sup........... thats all same at home. Was my day to day saxo which i love( ) had from new done basic mods not the chavy type. (well almost) Lorry pulled out doing about 50 as i was just about to go past at around 80 ish. No abs and on the brakes locked up rears 45 degre towards central barrier full opposit lock, missed barrier flicked back and totaly spun in middle of road, flu into curb at about 50 or 60 going backwards on inside lane, missed everyone some how, no body work damage, 2 wheels nailed and right rear suspension bent undr car. brake disk shattered. had to come home on a flt bed truck..... not happy and feel so shit looks expensive, but only saxo so it may be fixable. depends on floor plan i guess( just had wheels refurbeed in non standard colour and there both writn off.) tt steve:(

Charlotte
Sorry to hear about your crash...:thumbdown We saw something similar recently. We were in fast lane of M1 guy in front of us in middle lane went to pull out and realised he didn't have enough time to do so. Locked brakes and did a complete spin to control himself so he was facing the wrong way. He managed to by-pass the slow lane and came to a stop just past the hard shoulder down an embankment. So scary to see. Glad its just the car thats poorly though...
Pete
This reminds me of two nights ago. A prat in a Z3 was flying along and then stuck right on the arse of a poor commuter who was doing nothing wrong. I think they decided to pull in just at the same time the Z3 decided they were going to undertake...so they both go in to the left lane. I think - ok, I'll overtake you both then. Just then the slower car pulls out in front of me (great I think), then the Z3 goes to pull out straight INTO me! What had happened was a bag of rubbish was thrown off the bridge into the left lane. The slower car saw it and had time to avoid without affecting me much. The Z3 (because he was sat on his arse) didn't have time and had the choice of either hitting me or ploughing into it. Glad to say he ploughed into it. Teach him to drive like that.
colsoop
Man thats bad news, That is the only draw back i found with the saxo when it goes it goes big style, leaving you without much to do but brace for impact. I spun it at alconbury airfield once and it certainly left me a bit stunned at how quickly it swops ends. The main thing is you are unharmed apart from your underpants and saxo parts are plentiful and reasonably cheap.
