Stéphane Peterhansel and Édouard Boulanger crashed at km 200 of Stage 6.

The co-driver Édouard Boulanger was taken care of by the Dakar medical team. Suffering from back pain, he was transported to a hospital for additional examinations. Get well soon Édouard.

At the same km, Carlos Sainz and Lucas Cruz also crashed, and they are currently waiting for assistance.

Sad to read a spectator has been killed.

There is video footage on youtube but I shan't be posting that here

Appears the guy was just a few metres after the crest of a dune and right on the edge of previous vehicles tracks, having driven in the dunes in Morocco the driver of the truck wouldn't of seen him as all you're looking at is sky as you crest these things

The truck team have retired from the rally from what I can see
