SUPRA4EVA Posted August 15, 2021 Share Posted August 15, 2021 I have access to the pulleys and the belt that came off had no wear or damage, it was done a while ago too. But the pulleys have an indented surface on the groves. Not sharp, just very tired/fretted. Anyone else running their pulleys in this condition? ? Tyson Posted August 16, 2021 Share Posted August 16, 2021 Given what could happen if the belt does go because it gets damaged by the pulley, I would just replace it whilst you have access. Agreed, I'd replace the crank pulley, timing belt, aux belt and WP all while you have access for the sake of a few hundred pounds. The condition of the pulleys on the PS and A/C look fine to me and probably wouldn't be an issue. It's up to you but if you're going through a mini restoration, a new A/C compressor, reconditioned/new PS pump and rebuilt Alternator may also be a smart idea, so you know everything is new/good when it's finished.
