Markie
Anyone in the know why the "Safety Camera Unit" would send me a letter with an incident number and then asking me to provide my date of birth and then ask me to sign and return the form to them? Am I missing a previous NIP or??? Wondering why they have sent me this letter asking for unrelevant info...

carl0s
Not sure of the right thing to do, but if I got one it would go in the bin! Me too. It could be someone trying to find out your D.O.B for reasons of fraud, or something. http://www2.css-networks.com/roflcopter2.gif

Markie
No, just refers to Ref Number... But it is a letter that looks legal from the Safety Camera Unit.

Guest kennyf
Normally they state reg of vehicle, place of offence and alleged speed and the like. It is very easy for the police to get your details from the DVLA who already know your date of birth. If it was not registered bin it. They will write again if it is genuine. Never give out personal details unless you are 100% of their intended use.

Terminator
OK who ever sent this as your address, your name, and wants your signature and DOB. Send that to me and I'll see how many credit cards I can get. I should think I could get 100ks worth inside three weeks and spend around that before you got the first bill. I'll even buy you a MKIV in your name too.
JohnA
Real or dodgy, I'd bin it anyway. Nothing good (for you) can come out of responding to this. Without a signature they can't do jack to prove you've ever received it. I know from experience.
