MattP
Looking for some feedback on these what are they like I currently have Ohlins fitted but they are typical crashy 18 year old japanese dampeners on our English roads. Anybody care to comment on the benefits of CW Bilsteins as Im not into the whole coilover slammed thing..
mwilkinson
I have them on my car. It's a personal preference thing really, but I had Tein Mono Flex with EDFC on my last car and I much prefer the CW setup. I would add that mine are also height adjustable which was an additional mod done by the last owner.
MattP
what springs do you use or are these supplied by CW aswell? are they a nice smooth ride or really bumpy?
mwilkinson
I didn't buy or install the suspension, it was all done by the previous owner. Have a look here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?299527-My-Single-Supra-Facelift-Gunmetal-Six-Speed-600bhp&highlight=alcon The suspension is firmer than stock, and it's hard to say definitively what impact the suspension has in isolation, as you can see from the above link, I've got strut brace and uprated anti roll bars. I don't find it uncomfortable and it is easily comfortable enough, in my opinion, for daily use.
mwilkinson
Might be worth messaging DanDan about the setup, although it is also documented on his build thread from a few years ago.

MattP
They don't make the car sit lower do they?
ellis
I had some on my old UK spec. Chris fitted them when he decatted it. That car (on stock 17s) handled incredibly. I had a spirited run with a mate in an Evo from Skegvegas to Lincoln (with my lad in the Evo) and they struggled to keep up on the twisties. I would recommend it in a heartbeat - best handling car I ever had. Then I put 19s on it and ruined it!!
ellis
They don't make the car sit lower do they? Chris can make it sit lower when he puts them together, if you want, but expect teeth sucking and a lecture!
MattP
That's the thing I like my stock ride height so being able to keep it where it is.. Is a good thing

2soops
I have them on mine with standard TT springs. I have uprated anti roll bars and had a full geo set up done and the car handles fantastically. Very easy to live with day to day as they are only slightly firmer than stock. Would definitely have no trouble recommending these
