The bit I can't get over is the fact when I went for an mot at a new garage I said to them its decatted etc and they told me it wouldn't pass. These guys were all to happy to take your money and fail it even though you'd already spoken to them..... Disgusting. Name and shame I say!

I will only be naming and shaming for local members if they need it ;)

Lets wear thongs and bras when we get mots...... might have a friendly exaperience? :D but this sucks for you. hope you get it through with out any more pro.blems

:rlol: if I wore that I would still get a fail :p I

What a pain! also now being electronic that will be on the system

I am currently working something out with a couple of members ;)

For me, they do a quick check outside for another car, and bring that in if my emissions are high and it fails the first time.

Friendly MOT stations are only friendly if you have known them for years.

People now days complain about everything and wouldn't stop to cast the finger of blame at an MOT station if something went amiss. They need to know through trust that you aren't a complaining winge-bag or a grass.

I get my motorbike MOTs with a small number plate attached, no reflector, noisy exhaust etc. I wouldn't dream of telling a police offer "Well it was MOTed like that". But some people would.

Find a nice garage/guy, and stick with them.

The only reason I used these guys was cause my normal one I've used for all my supra's and 200sx's has a buggered machine! Since my mate used this garage and recommended then I thought I would be ok :(

This is of course very true. I know people who help people, but they wouldn't do it for someone they couldn't trust or someone who wasn't a long time member of a certain car club....

Do you think that was secret squirrel enough to avoid people thinking it's me? :sly:

I did notice the abundance of old sheds and pick ups, since it was a country garage
