I imagine with 1500hp he's going to be running 15x10 drag rears, there's no way you'll get a good rear brake setup in with those wheels. I think you'll end up with n/a rear brakes Axle. Unless you plan to run a normal tyre?

 

Exactly, 15 inch rears. Hope it now makes sense..

Not really - I understand the physical constraints but fail to see why you'd create such a scenario....then I'd never bother with silly HP. Meh...just buy a parachute.

What about converting the rear to an inboard brake set-up Axle?

 

The confines of the rim are no longer an issue then.

 

T'would take some fabricating, sure, but it's hardly impossible, and a proper balance could be maintained, as well as all the other advantages of such a set-up.

No brake fade, appox half the weight of normal discs ,withstand double the heat

 

The car is for the drag strip though, I believe, not the track. Parachute makes more sense when the limiting factor is the 15" rear wheel.
