msupra1
EDIT: my turn signal nor my hazard lights work now. I clicked the hazard light earlier today worked fine, tonight I did it again just to show a friend how my turn signal isn't working and the hazard suddenly no longer works either. So if both don't work what could this be. I'm lost now. _____ So my hazard lights work perfectly fine, but when I flick the turn signal up or down nothing happens, the interior lights don't flash and makes no 'ticking' sound. It kind of happened out of no where. Are these known to break sometimes? could something have disconnected? The car is a 97, any idea where I could get a 'turn signal switch'? this is what my supra mechanic said I'll likely need. Need to get this fixed, now I look like a kunt cutting across lanes without using the signal. cheers Edited October 18, 2013 by msupra1 (see edit history)
Al Massey
Isn't the hazards and indicators on different relays and fuse?

msupra1
So this should mean it could just be a fuse? I'm just trying to see what are some things I should check first.
Abz
Have you disconnected the dash recently?! Disconnecting the dimmer switch will cause this issue as well IIRC. An if you need to change lanes now, used your hazards so then someone can tell something is up and you aren't being a twang

straightsix
An if you need to change lanes now, used your hazards so then someone can tell something is up and you aren't being a twang Please don't. It gives no idea of where you're going. Hazard lights should only be used on a stationary vehicle to identify it as a hazard in the position it's in. The only time hazards should be used when moving is under heavy breaking to alert drivers behind of stopped traffic etc.
Abz
Aren't you supposed to use arm signals when your indicators stop working ? According to the high way code... But his in the states so not sure if this complies with them. Please don't. It gives no idea of where you're going. Hazard lights should only be used on a stationary vehicle to identify it as a hazard in the position it's in. The only time hazards should be used when moving is under heavy breaking to alert drivers behind of stopped traffic etc. Better than just darting across with no warning at all, considering his indicators don't work

straightsix
Better than just darting across with no warning at all, considering his indicators don't work No - it's really not. Anyone in this situation should be using the proper hand signals.
