Nic
Do a diagnostic check to see if there are any stored error codes on the ECU, how to guide here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?35920-How-To-Check-the-diagnostics-codes&highlight=diagnostic The best way to 'add a little more bhp' is to give the car a thorough service, fluids, filters, plugs, plug leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, oxygen sensors, etc. After that fitting an aftermarket exhaust designed specifically for the 2JZ-GE and decat pipes may gain a few hp's and make it feel a little more responsive but don't expect huge gains. Guest Benjiboosupra
Ok cheers dude, thinks its allready got a blitz cat back exhaust on it, but could do with a full sevice... Ill get straight on it. What if I added a turbo and made it manual?
Dnk
To be blunt if you want more hp/torque you need to go tt or na-t
Guest Benjiboosupra
So could I add the turbos and all the parts to my na or would I need a different engine? Iv seen the na-t kits on eBay for £1100... Need some advice lol Cheers

Need some advice lol Cheers A reliable 2JZ-GE turbo conversion with all supporting modifications needed and using quality parts will cost £10k+ to do properly. If want more power the best advice would be to sell the NA and buy a TT Supra. Edited May 30, 2013 by Nic (see edit history)
Ian C
Speak to Noz re a NA-T conversion, his is up and running strong by the look of it.

Fly
Check your plugs leads rotar arm and coil pack mine is doing it under load but I'm boosted...sort off
Nic
10k nic! Not quite but expensive enough ) That's assuming you start with an average condition 12-20 year old Supra and want a NA-T Supra that is going to give years of reliable use.
Guest Benjiboosupra
Just bought full twin turbos off of a 2jz-gte, will they bolt straight on? Got the manifold and everything, do I need an tt ecu for it all?
Nic
Just bought full twin turbos off of a 2jz-gte, will they bolt straight on? Got the manifold and everything, do I need an tt ecu for it all? No the manifold won't bolt to the 2JZGE head, different bolt pattern.

Abz
Just bought full twin turbos off of a 2jz-gte, will they bolt straight on? Got the manifold and everything, do I need an tt ecu for it all? Nope they won't bolt straight on, the engines are different between the GE & GTE.

Nic
The engine now!! It's just not practical to fit the stock turbos onto an NA (2JZGE) engine, there are just too many differences. If you want more power the cheapest and best option would be to sell and buy a TT Supra, second best/cheapest option a complete 2JZGTE engine transplant, the most expensive option would be an NA-T turbo install. Mace
Buy a written off donor TT and transplant it all over, still cost about 2- 2.5k if you can find one and your able to do it yourself..

Fly
Dude if your going to go na-t do the research and ask questions there's loads of threads on here about it . Save your cash for now until you know what you want to buy or which route you want to go. Like nic says tt transplant is the easiest na-t is difficult and CAN be expensive but it's not always
Nic
What if I got a na-t manifold? No it's completely different, an off the shelf NA-T manifold is designed to fit one T4 flanged turbo, it will not fit 2 stock turbos. Forget trying to fit the stock sequential turbos on an NA engine, it's just not practical.
