Turbo sounds like a super charger

bov is fine checked that. going to check all the vacuum lines tomorrow.

 

1st turbo boosts to 0.6 bar but 2nd turbo doesn't kick in at all.

 

Don't mean to scare you but i've found out the cause to my fault in the supra, might not be the same but.

I dropped it off to Paul at Garage Whifbitz to find the fault and when he finally found it he told me something as hit the first turbo and damage the blade but the second turbo is fine.

 

Here is my symptoms:

 

- 1st turbo boosts to 0.6 bar, 0.68 bar not second turbo

- No smoke or rattle

- Sounds like a leak

- BOV work fine

 

If you have check everything maybe worth having the turbo looked.

Better check to make sure then drive it around making it worst.

Mine has just done this today, no unsual noises, 1st turbo kicks in, showing 0.68 on boost gauge, but no 2nd turbo.

 

Put it in ttc mode, if you get full boost it's a sequential control rather than a turbo issue.

lose of second turbo is normaly caused by the vsv at the top back of the engine,check the vac pipes to that

thanks mate got a length of hose so will renew those and go from there
