I have received a letter explaining that a bundle of blank V5's had gone missing and we are all being issued with a new V5 coloured red.

 

In this new one it just says 'Toyota'.

I can't tell whether that was supposed to sarcastic or not .. I put it down to the 13 hour night shift I have just done.

The letter has been binned, but here are details shown in the red V5.

Sorry I am bit tired, I have had that type of log book since I bought the car back in 2010. Just wondered why I hadn't recieved said notice but it is probably because I already have a new type V5.

All the v5's i have for my 3 cars are all red. Got sent new ones with the same letter.

Just like David P above, mine just says "Toyota" for make, and nothing for 'Type' (or 'Model' for that matter, on the New Keepers Details bit)

Is that what it says on your original V5 or have you got a new one like above?

I've got a new one - just bought the car recently and don't have the old V5, just a V5C.

I wanted to know how they were recorded so i can make sense of the howmanyleft tables and see how many uk's are left in the country.
