Adrian Flux, £280 F/C with courtesy car, public liability, windscreen and breakdown. No mods declared as yet, parked on my driveway with aftermarket alarm. I'm 40 years old and with zero no claims due to my Audi policy no claims not being allowable and a fault claim when my G/F decided my Shogun Sports front end would look nicer with the Armco in the A1 central reservations pattern embedded into it!! I repaired my own car, but Highways agency claimed £3500 for a 30 foot length of Armco which was merely scraped!! Barstewards!

Who else did you try? were the other quotes similar?

LWIB are the only company that would give me a specified written on the policy agreed value with all

mods declared.

Aviva were £10 cheaper but the online form only allows 4 mods so is just not good enough for

my car and no agreed value. The mods list isn't really for a specialist car in my opinion.

CCI were £70 more but their policy isnt an actual written down agreed value and could be

hard work if the worst happened trying to get what you feel its worth. I could be wrong but only

time will tell if anyone needs to claim with them.

Didn't bother with Sky as im not playing the ring around game and the last time they gave me a quote

it was 2 1/2 times that which i paid last year.

I'd already crossed a few others off the list from last year as their cover was just not good enough

or too vague or stupidly expensive or just no good on a modified car and no agreed value.

Sounds like you did the leg work that I did. I couldn't get through to lwib so never got a quote from them. Admiral were ok until I tried to add more mods as you say. I'm nervy about CCI but hoping as the policy is with Aviva and they seem to be mentioned a lot on other forums for years and haven't heard any horror stories so they got my vote.

I only tried Aviva online because of CCI being underwritten by them and found they would only

cover 4 mods on the car which got me thinking how can CCI cover you and arent bothered by mods ?

Shame you couldn't get through to LWIB, i've never had a problem with them and as said they give

me the best of everything by far in my opinion.

I wouldn't bother with the regualer insurance brokers companies as my car has too many mods which

most have never heard of or even know what they are, for a regular car yes their fine but not something

a bit differant :)

I did try the online comparisons and the meercat quoted me £8500 :)

The CCI policy book is for and on behalf of Aviva with an Aviva number to ring and CCI is a trading name of towergate underwriting. It all looks good and am happy with their service so far, hopefully I'll never need to test them any further. :)
