Engine temperature

Lol josh, reason I asked about this thread because I hardly drive the supra snd hardly work on the engine. I burned my skin by accidently touching something is the engine that's why I asked if it was normal for the heat produced to be that hot.

Read a thread about radiators and fans from a few days ago. The engine is supposed to get hot. If it runs too cold it's not good.

 

If you put 1L of water in the fuel tank for every 10L of fuel, it keeps it nice and cool.

 

-and it gets cheaper to fill it up :thumbs:

Engines are designed to get hot and also maintain as constant a temperature as possible , the last line of heat exchange is from the engine to air , thats the heat you are seeing if you touch the engine .

Too hot would be anything over the stock engine surface temp with a perfect stock cooling system fitted .

I doubt thats ever been measured ,except by Toyota

I wanted to put my mind at rest the reason being I do not drive the car much so got slightly worreid about the engine heat, I guess being summer does not help.
I thought it is always raining over the bouncy castle! :D

 

You so need to get out and drive it more dude, if you don't just give it to me!
