Samurai 20V
Hi all... Just thought I would post up some pics of my ex car for reference.. The car is has the 4A-GE 20V 1600cc engine, 6spd manual gearbox.. The engine produces 155hp at the flywheel in stock form, mine was modified to 175hp.. The engine compression is 11:1, VVTi on the inlet, 5V per cylinder, individual throttles..Revved to 8200rpm stock, it was super fun to drive everyday, used to give the Golf 5 GTi's a hard time... Any comments welcome..

Thanks everybody for the comments.. It was a nice sleeper, used to be fun revving to 8200rpm, used to surprise alot of other cars on the road.. Chris Wilson
They sound better at 10,000 RPM, great engines, although mine is a 4 valver, now being turbo charged. Whitegoods refers to cookers, fridges, freezers et cetera. I see his point, it's not exactly pretty

Mine had bigger pistons and Toda cams, branches and 63mm exhaust.. The 4 valver is a great engine as well, we got some fast cars in SA running these engines, one that springs to mind in a Nissan Champ pick up, it ran a 9.9secs, it was turboed running side draughts... Well I suppose Toyota are not the best at designing pretty cars, but they run well..

Yes, as Chris and Craig have said, Toyota are renowned for bland and/or derivative styling but incredible reliability. Which is why I love my Toyotas, but don't confuse them for beautiful cars (well, except for the Supra).

That is correct, the BZR and Corolla GT has the same engine and 175BHP. They are tuned to run on premium gas (100 octane) here, hence power up.. South African verison is tuned for 95 octane..I stuck with the OEM ecu on my one, it was able to fuel sufficiently for the setup.. I am considering buying a BZR for a daily runner to take back to SA.. They pretty cheap here, and come with the 6spd OEM Torsen LSD, should be sweet to drive.. They are a very nice car to drive, a little hard & bumpy but very very good on corners. For a 1.6 they are quick, come 4000 rpm they just go. Make sure to use vpower though as we couldn't get 99 octane for a while so we used 95, it hurt the power a nice bit. Yeah the LSD is good, max revs & let up the clutch & she just goes with very little wheel slip.
