paul mac
Hi, Does oil in the FMIC mean that my turbos are going??? cheers adi mine was running with an oily smic and then fmic for about 3 years on stock turbos so not necesarily, when you tipped the fmic up there was quite a puddle ran out
CJ
I always thought that the presence of oil in the FMIC was indicative of turbo seal wear?
JustGav
My boost pipes have got a slight trace of oil on them as well... Not too worried about it... Bear in mind my car only has 38 miles on it now since being built

paulrenn
Could also be pistons/piston rings IIRC
Geezabloke
Apparently a smear of oil inside the FMIC and associated piping is not uncommon and is not something to worry about? However id be concerned if i was pouring the stuff out....and not just because of the cost in oil...lol Seriously though a small amount is common.....i even have some come out of my BOV which again points towards seal wear, but only a smattering, then again the cars now on 90+k and still pulls like a train. TRD3000GT
basically you hook up the catch can to the pipe that comes out of the side of the cam cover and back to where it used to connect to the turbo outlet. This is where the oil vapor comes out and the can catches it. see picture attached.

TRD3000GT
LITERALLY the ONLY place the Greddy can woud fit on mine wqas where it is in the picture. Took about an hour to mount it there properly and run the lines.. you will need to customise (bend) the aluminium bracket so that it holds it right
TRD3000GT
if you have not bought one yet I would seriously consider buying a smaller can than the Greddy if your running stock twins as space is seriously limited! have a look at this unit.. Nice price as well! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=72205&item=7981961906&rd=
