peter richards
hello, my new struts were fitted saturday, and are working great , tailgate lifts smoothly on its own . the company who ive been working with are now happy to provide new struts to members. the price of the struts is £89.30, including vat and p+p back to you. you will however have to take your old ones off and send them to the company as they need the ends for re fabrication , it was the easyiest way around fixing . the company is M S engineering, 5 the graylins, bedford, mk 41 9bh phone 01234 772255 ask for mike thanks peter
supRo
Good stuff Peter, A few members including myself would be interested in struts for the bonnet (like BMW's), do you think they may do that? They can use my car as a donor if need be to prototype, I'm down the road. Cheers, Ro

peter richards
thanks paul , it took a lot of time to get them right , mainly because i live a long way from bedford . but hopefully it will save members a bit of money , and they are far superior to the toyota ones
TrickTT
Are the struts higher pressure than the original toyota ones, or just refurbed to work properly. I suffer the 'veilside wing/tailgate landing on the back of the head' problem. Although it seems to be working fine in the hot weather at the moment. peter richards
yes i would say they are stronger than oem , you can see by the pic the struts are new its just the ends are from the old ones.pm sent . cheers peter

Rob Wilson
I'd be interested to find out if it does cure the veilside spoiler on the head problem...will invest in a set if they do!
Kev.O
I've just fitted the new struts. They're really good. Definately worth the money. They seem really strong. I've never actually lifted a boot with a veilside spoiler but I'd probably say it would easily lift it!

jim_supra
I'd be interested in bonnet struts aswell. I have been thinking about doing this for a while, I have been thinking of using struts off a soarer, but if someone else can do this, it would save me from destroying my bonnet!! Dragonball
There is nowhere I can see to fix them on to on the supra bonnet guys?? First thing I looked at when I got my soarer...
Soonto_HAS_soop
There was a guy at the Maidstone meet at the old Sextons that had bonnet struts on his MKIV, not sure what his name was though...... I think that Mig knew who he was though.
