Wacky idea time.... Robin Reliant...

Okay, been chatting with the wife and we have a crazy idea for our 15yr old daughter..

From what I understand at 16, she is allowed a 50cc engined moped/3 wheeled vehicle...

Cue Robin Reliant with a 50cc engine :) Spotted one cheap on ebay and 50cc engines are a dime a dozen...

Given the kerb weight is around 700kg in stock form, it could require some extra weight reduction :)

Don't imagine it'll do much for her street cred Gav :D

Did you watch the recent Top Gear episode where Clarkson rolled one just about everywhere? Not sure I'd be happy letting one of my kids in one.

With a 50cc engine she would probably need a down hill just to get moving I reckon....

I had a Reliant van many, many moons ago.

Scared the cr@p out of my Dad when I hit the go pedal instead of stop at a junction the first time I drove it.

dont do it tell her to wait until she is 17 and pass her driving test and she has to put up with dads taxi service until then.imagine her pulling out at a junction and not having enough power to get out intime before that lorry comes towards her.hope that thought puts you off the idea.
