Can you get done for using these while driving as with phones?

Well, if you can done for eating an apple (as per the recent court case) then I am sure that using these whilst driving is illegal too.

Actually I know the answer to this one!

Two way radio's are specifically exempt from the new law - otherwise the police or other emergency services wouldn't be able to use a radio whilst driving.

"Two-way radios can still be used, but only if the radio cannot also function as a mobile phone. Using a dual function radio/phone is illegal even when only the radio function of the device is used."

Gaz.

But only if you are using a talking broach. If the radio is hand held, you are not exempt. The broach must either be attached to the radio which must be securely fastened or on a wire/leash microphone attached to a car based device such as an R/T set.
