I know this is probably a very long shot but I missed my old lude a lot so if you know anyone having a lude or considering selling please let me know!

The only catch is that I am looking for somewhere local so around 30 miles radius from Dundee is preferable.

Cheers!

Wow...thats really an outstanding lude! However, I am looking for something...less exotic :p

Haha, very nicely put J.

I've thought about putting the normal bonnet back on just to see what it looks like with the rest of the kit but I think I'd miss me nostrils!

The mugen front bumper looks ace , esp with a CF bonnet.

5th gens are pretty sweet straight out of the factory, just needs:

1) Lowering

2) Proper wheels

3) Mugen front

4) Maybe CF bonnet and boot

5) Bigger brakes

6) Get the H22A Red top engine (you could supercharge it)

and voila! :D

You can pick up a nice type S over here for a bloody song at this stage.

No one wants to shell out the €823 per year on road tax for a 10+ year old car that doesn't have quite the clout of it's RWD counterparts or the pedigree of it's cheaper-to-run stablemates.

I don't know what the UK market is like but cars of this type just aren't selling in this country.

It may be worth your while doing a little bit of browsing before you purchase.

Also if the car was imported directly to Ireland from Japan it will have seen ALOT less salt in it's lifetime. Mine is a '97 and was imported in '98. She's still as clean as a whistle underneath, it was even commented on by the NCT tester last week.

Just a bit of food for thought J.:)

woah ... 825 for road tax??? and I thought we have it bad here :p

It's hard finding a nice 5th gen here now, there's loads of "modded" 4th gens which imo looks bit dodgy.

Thanks for the tips mate. I'm in no hurry... just looking for the right one!

Well I used to have a F22B and while it doesn't exactly set your pants on fire its comfortable, reliable, stylish (imo) and also practical! The build quality was impeccable - no squeaks for rattles whatsover but it depends on the car I think. If you get the red top H22A and chuck in a few basic mods (good air intake, plugs and leads, exhaust and manifold and give the engine a good service) ~200bhp is possible.

I hang out in this forum : http://preludeuk.forumup.com/ under the name of jonnyc81. It's free and the people there are really friendly. Another good forum is lude behaviour but I think they require membership, not sure tho!

Yep. Drivers in this country are screwed 7 ways from Sunday.

Anything over a 2 litre is silly money, it would cost me over €1300 a year if I were to tax the Supra rather than trailer it to the track.

The trailer cost me €900 to buy.

You do the math.:D

I have a uk spec 2.2 vti manual 5th gen sitting in my driveway. Its been laid up since getting my supra 2 years ago so it needs work but its only 10 miles from dundee and would be cheap.

Hmmm...really appreciate the offer mate but I would prefer something that needs minimal work :D
