i'm trying to improve the condition of the car for re sale puposes so OEM is the way forward, i don't really wanna start messing about with non genuine parts.

 

the lamps are the original jspecs just refinished using a PC.

No probs Matt, glad i could help and look forward to seeing the finished car and exactly what you used on the headlamps.

 

Top job so far mate and when its done i reckon you'll want to keep it ;)

So today... I left myhouse at 7AM to collect my parts from Dnk, got some standard wheel nuts too. spot on.. after this i went to Toyota to collect this lot:

backin the bat cave:

 

4x17" jdm toyota wheels, 2 toyo proxes and 2 goodyear f1s:

i've got all four calipers painted up and refitted:

cut, polished and then refiited the bonnet:

tried the new bumper on (without brackets, fixings or bolts):

I quickly cleaned the hinges cos they were VERY grubby:

last thing, i've started on prepping the wheels, had them pushed back over outer bead should be ok for squaring up the lips and painting the faces as the insides are good enough for me at the moment:

more tomorrow hopefully, few more parts still to collect but its getting there.

near on full Toyota tool kit. I think i'mvonly missing a first aid box and flare by the look of it, does anyone know?

 

wheels to finish next, and then gonna concentrate on the interior a bit more.

i really like the stock 17s, the car should look real nice n fresh on them. I didn't choose the tyres i got them with the wheels.....i'm well happy with them though :cool:

Using normal aerosal cans dude, pretty good finish so far I really hope the wheels turn out well. More progress tomorrow or monday I reckon. Work is getting in the way! Lol

The flare (at least JDM OEM) is mounted in the passenger footwell. I seem to remember something about it having to be in the cabin law.

You are missing the green first aid kit, yes. My 100% stock JDM came with nothing in the thin slot/hole to the left of the spare wheel, even though I have everything else.

 

Did you replace the carpet in the back? If you from toyota? How much £££?

cleaned upthe rear lights to match the fronts:

quick interior spruce up, mainly degreasing to freshen up. no vinyl care yet (i still need a 6spd knob and centre ash tray):

I love this thread. Well done that man, you are doing an awesome job.

 

Seconded, great job seeing it come together.... I've done this kind of work myself on several old cheap cars, but it seems soooooooo much more fun doing it on a Supra from the look of it !!

 

I wish I could find a nice cheap project Supra.
