Ythomit
I have a 1993 import TT Auto. I also have a manual. The manual says that the fuel tank capacity is 80 litres. The most petrol I've ever been able to get into it is 61 litres (with the low fuel warning light on) My question(s)... Is the manual wrong or the fuel guage ? ...or is a JP litre 2/3 of an EU litre ? SteveC
UK models have a larger fuel tank (80 litres)
RobSheffield
JDM has 70 litre tank, UK has 80 litre. You likely have a UK manual. Check for a section on waxing the dildos to be sure
stevie_b
You can't accurately gauge a tank's capacity by how much it takes to fill up. 2 things would need to be true for you to do this: 1) the fuel line pick-up in the tank would need to suck fuel from the very bottom of the tank. My guess is that it doesn't do this, because it would end up sucking up heavy impurities. and 2) the car would need to be at the point of cutting out due to lack of fuel, at the moment you pull up at the petrol pump. Ythomit
Many thanks all. Seems like I'd better get the right manual then. Any recommendations ?
Bobbeh
If it costs you around £85 a fill up you probably have a UK spec.
Lbm
If it costs around £90, you've put diesel in.
