so if the tt pistons are fitted with a stock na hg what compression would this give ? would it be the same as the tt or still slightly higher due the pertruding cylinder top in the head?

also on a scale of 1-10 how important are the oil sqirters

Dam good question! Obviously we know why they are there, but is it a necessity if going down that route??

Only one way to find out for sure is to measure it properly.

A rough guess would say around 9:0:1 which id say is a good medium to build on.

Never fit a TT HG with TT pistons!

thanks martin. when i have funds available i do want to buid a higher powerd na/t engine so i hope you dont mind me scalping you for info.

the setup i want would be a stock na head with on a ge bottome end using gte pistons with an na head gaskett. at a 9.0;1 comp ratio how much boost could i run without the aid of water injection without pre ignition looking for a 11.0 afr on wot.

would the tt pistons go straight on my ge rods or would i need the rods too ?

and would you say the jets are needed.

  • 2 weeks later...

i took the head of a ge engine this morning and it dose not have the raised combustion dome like the one in the firs pics,

the bottom of the head is flat more like the gte head??

also to romove the crank will i have to take the face plate off the block , or is a case of removing the cam cog and sliding it our backwards?
