j spec fuel pump question

The 342 walbro is a direct replacement in the jspec cars, the walbro 341 is a direct replacement in the Export spec cars but can be fitted to the jspec with some messing about

The UK (export) spec pump cannot be retrofitted to a jspec hanger without modifcation to the hanger.

No modification at all just plug and play. Either Walbro will fit if you do away with the rubber shoe at the bottom.

That's exactly the info I was looking for

I was going to change my fuel pump but I have read that JDM and USDM/UK pump ecu is different and it won't work, so I was afraid and was ready to install walbro gss342,

that's nice to hear, so now i can get a usdm/uk pump

It has been a long time since I fitted the UK pump, I had to solder the wires on to the original plug, apart from that, it is just a matter of trimming the fuel connection hose from the pump to the outlet pipe. A couple of jubilee clips to hold the pump in place.

you can get an OEM Denso (UK/USDM) pump for about -170-200$ USD on eBay

walbro's are about 90-100$

I don't think that 100$ difference is too much, is it?

OEM is OEM anyway

not so noisy and it's better quality overall IMO
