Mad Matt
Guys, I've just finished with all my exterior mods on my 93 N/A Supe, (Veilside c1 kit, tints, 18" alloys, and have recently turned my attention to the engine. I bought a TRD air filter, dropped the old oil and replaced it etc etc, but i'm looking at any options on major power increases. Need to contact Thor to get it de-limited, but was wondering, is it possible to fit a single turbo to the JZA80 Engine, and if so, where, and at what cost, or, are there any other N/A mods i sholuld consider without going down the turbo route? P.S. Any of you guys from around the Harrogate/Leeds area, i seem to be the only Supe around here! Thanks
Jake
Not much you can do to majorly improve the power of an NA without spending thousands. Vortex Power do a really good spec turbo conversion but you'd need to spend a few grand to do it right. If you want big power you should have bought a TT. Sorry mate. Dragonball
HI M8 - there are loads of info on this on the site - really a question of searching like mad I am up in Harrogate monthly - so bung me your email address to [email protected] CHeers
Mad Matt
Cheers guys, Have emailed Vortex re the turbo conversion, (not bad at £4600 fitted!) and have emailed you my email address Paul. Let me know if you get it because my server seems to be having it's very own 'monthly'! PS Would have bought a TT, but didn't want an auto, and couldn't find one at the time. Plus, my N/A has only done 28,000 miles, and is in well good nick for her age, so i had to give her a suitable home. (Mine!) LOL

Mad Matt
Cool. Not met anyone from the club yet, so might be an excuse to arrange a 'meet up' with anyone else interested, kinda like a Supra get together, one Sunday or one evening somewhere central, i'e, Leeds or something? Anyone up for it?

JustGav
Hmmm... wonder if someone is actually going to go thru with it finally...... I had originally planned on doing an NA-T conversion myself, but then I decided on a full engine transplant... a lot more work, but I'm happy with everything.... Best of luck with this, and please put up pics when you get it installed... I'm interested to see how it comes out.. Gav

Prof. Monkey
Hi guys YORK would be a good place to meet up, thats fairly central! I live in HULL and would enjoy meeting up with other sup owners. Let me know when, p.s. I am off to Japfest, not in the sup though, but I could be persuaded! Going in mates MX6! Or would that be considered as "sleeping with the enemy"
womble
Any of you guys from around the Harrogate/Leeds area, i seem to be the only Supe around here! I'm in Yeadon (just by Leeds Bfd Airport) and there are a few other guys in Leeds too but I've only met up with MCCanny. Welcome to the club . Mad Matt
Cheers for the re-direction to that thread Dale, i'm up for that! And York would be a good spot for a 'mini-meet', couls all fire down to Clifton Moor or something, or down by the river next to tat pub that always floods so we can get maximum impact on our Supe 'prescence!' Lol. So, what do ya think?
Mad Matt
And.................. as for the Turbo Conversion, i am SERIOUSLY thinking about the Vortex option. i know its £4600 fitted, but hey, you can't take it with ya, so blow it whatever makes ya feel good is what i say! Watch this space carefully!

Mad Matt
Sure, well wherever, just would be good to meet up with fellow Supra Owners. So come on, where and when guys? Are we gonna sort something out, would be great if we could!
Prof. Monkey
I am available most weekends, to come to York would be a nice ride out! Any of you lot going to Japfest from our way (ooooop north)? Like I mentioned before I am off with a mate, but I could be described to take the "white-lady". Regards York, Clifton Moor would be better, as that pub is a bit away from the car, park so we might not get noticed - we could then take a "cruise" into York for the effect???? Guest Terry S
Matt, If Mig doesnt answer it I will today. Gav, there is another NA-T conversion going on which should hopefully be ready soon.

Prof. Monkey
Next Sunday 15th then! Clifton Moor! Where shall we meet? P.s. are you going to the Lake District Cruise? We are (The gaffer and I), stopping in a B&B overnight, which there is probably space left if you wanted to book?

Prof. Monkey
Will be there 1.00 next Sunday, look forward to it, just contacted some other Supra owners from Hull to see if they want to attend. See you soon.
SupraChick
Terry... If you need a spare engine to do the pilot work on a bench, I've got the old one out of DB's car sat here, which I'm sure Gav wouldn't mind you using, then you can just swop it into the car..
