Chase
Had to pop down to London today for a meeting with Microsoft, so I took the opportunity to pop into CyberCandy's shop in Covent Garden and pick up some supplies Packet of smoothie Skittles, tropical Skittles, a box of Twinkies and some cans of Mountain Dew. I expected to get my bag searched when the cans went through the x-ray machine at Heathrow, but not a peep out of security... Turned out a bit expensive, but at least I saved the £3.99 postage

Pete
Oh christ - as if it's not bad enough we're force fed their TV shows all the time, we now gotta put up with their "candy bars" and twinkies too?

Last time I checked good british television programs are few and far between... would you rather have re-runs of the same old crap 24/7 ? Read a book if it bothers you that much. No one is forcing you into that shop to buy anything, so I do not see how you have to put up with anything there....

Pete
Last time I checked good british television programs are few and far between... would you rather have re-runs of the same old crap 24/7 ? That'd be because the UK TV broadcasters are ploughing all their money into buying Will and Grace, Friends, Joey, Dawsons Creek etc rather than actually into producing their own shows. It's a shame as there is plenty of talent in the UK.
terribleturner
We have tons of UK programming going through our place all the time. Monach of the Glenn, Spooks, Hornblower. The programming is there, but it's the stations picking them up or not. How Joey has survived this long i'll never know.
JustGav
You forget that we only have 1/20 of the number of channels that they do in the US, hell any monkey with 50 bucks can get an hour on cable access... so nobody said the US content was any good.... Hell, makes waynes world looks like oscar winning stuff...
