Jamesy
....i want to make the dash a bit more brighter than it currently is : pic below: Just wondered how easy it is to get off the main dash panels that go around the clocks, radio, heater switches, gear stick(!) etc? and then maybe to spray them silver the same as the car?? Is this an easy job? effective? Cheers Edited July 3, 2009 by Jamesy (see edit history)
nevins
It all comes apart pretty easy start with the top panel and work out from that. I have started doing the same thing and i have to tell you the rubber stuff that coats the panels is a b**ch to get off
Lbm
Stangely enough, I found my new steering wheel gave the cockpit area a general spruce up/modernisation look. Although you may prefer your stock wheel of course. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=big&p=13470 Edited July 3, 2009 by Lbm (see edit history)

patrikbrunt
thats my old dash. if you do have a go at it yourself, i'd recommend using nair varnish remover to get the rubbery coating off. then just take your time with the preparing/priming/ painting/laquering and you should be happy with the result
pistonbroke
Best I've seen recently is someone did a matt black finish, looked UBER classy. Can't recall who it was though. I did silver on my last Supra (now Mark Newmans car) I plan on doing something a bit different this time round..............
martini
Is there a guide for the painting process? I would even consider sending mine to someone for painting and so on Matt black would be excellent.

bigbloodyturbo
Do it yourself, its easy, just time consuming. When I did mine I remember putting them back on and having that feeling of 'I did that' and it wasn't that hard to get a good finish. I used a ford metallic grey (almost like gunmetal) and it matched the interior very well.
