Homer Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Just contact anyone that resells the HKS kit if you want new parts to replace. You'll need a new screamer pipe and presumably DP or MP dependant on where the existing one links back into the exhaust. Insurance IS an issue, screamer pipes (i.e. unsilenced exhausts) are illegal and the car will not pass an MOT. There are of course ways round this as many will know, but the simple fact is, it's an illegal modification so technically you are only covered 3rd party by almost all insurance policies. wilkorangerover Posted February 24, 2009 Author Share Posted February 24, 2009 does this sound right......... a mechanic friend says simply take the turbo dump pipe off which is connected into the down pipe connect a screamer pipe on where that goes on the turbo and blank the hole in the down pipe up does this sound right??
