Axle
Micheals 'fast car' thread got me thinking... What fast car bargains (Cars under 15k) are out there, that you would buy? 'Fast' being a 0-60 of 5 Seconds or less. Please state both 0-60 and 0-100 figures. BHP and Torque figures would be a bonus. Thanks.
Jazzy
A single supra has to fit that bill, especially with current markets. Mine, a year ago, cost £14k makes 550bhp & 520ftlb. If traction wasn't a problem I'm sure you'd see 0-60 around 4 secs, with the 0-100 around the 10 sec mark.
JamieP
Im looking for another fast car bargain, there was a 2003 RS6 saloon with 450bhp and 70,000 miles on pistonheads for 13k a couple of days back but i was to slow and missed out on it:( the rest start at just over 15 grand. PJ
£15k will get you a fair amount of motor in this current climate! Anything 3.0ltr+ has devalued in a huge way. You can buy a couple of 400bhp M5's for £15k now that they are around the £7k mark! Though the cost price is cheap on a lot of these motors the service cost remains the same. You can get a Maserati 3200/4200 for the £15k mark.
SupraAyf
There are lots of GTR33's on Piston Heads at the moment - all @ circa 550-600 horses and the majority under the 15k limit. Jap cars will reduce even more next year as people become more desperate to put food on the table:(
DannyB
Impreza P1... : ) 280bhp 0-60 in 4.66 out of the box 15k would leave you a good 5k for mods aswell...
Muffleman
If I had 15k sitting around I'd get a Mercedes AMG for 'to and from work'. S55 AMG, 100k new and there's an 02 plate car with 60k on the clock for 15,995. Barely run in. Stretch to 17k and you'll get a facelifted supercharged car with 500bhp. Or an E55 AMG ? 53 plate current shape E55 AMGs start at 15k. Fast, comfy, stacked with extras
jevansio
I really fancy another Jag, I really like the XKR's, coming in under £15k, or even an XJR nice ones for circa £7k. One car for me that is dropping well is a 360, depending on how this recession thing pans out, lowest ones are under £35k now, maybe when we're in the deepest sh1t they may drop to the high 20's. I guess you have to ask yourself the question would I rather be mortgage free or have a Ferrari, for me I'd take the Ferrari anyday
