Current, of the moment etc etc. She sounds like Adele and Kate Nash and Amy Macdonald and KT Tunstall perhaps even Camera Obsura (although they're quite old). Softly softly with affected voices. I'm not saying it sounds bad, there is just a bit influx of it currently, hence she's popular and will sell songs. Alex from fame accademy tried to have a crack at it...bless.
