Still some interesting views & comments on the situation. CJ Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 That's exactly the kind of sneering, look at the scumbags perception of them that much of the media has been pandering too. It's based on how we perceive 'people like that' from the comfort of our cosy lives. We won't know what kind of life she's had unless it comes out after the trial(s). I don't know about you, but my upbringing was far from cosy and I am certainly not the type to sneer at anyone who lives on a council estate as I grew up on what has been reported as being the worst council estate in Wales. However, I do have the intelligence to perceive what is obviously a hugely dysfunctional family and therefore can consider that the chances of the child being brought up in a happy, family environment are remote. I am also aware that she was abducted. That wasn't sensational journalism - that is fact. It seems increasingly likely that the mother was involved in this charade so once again I find myself of the opinion that if the mother could do that to her child, the chances are the homelife for the little girl was not great. Now, you might want to sit there and accuse me of being a middle class, cosy lifed sneerer but I would counter that by asking you to look at the evidence to date and then tell me you truly think she had a happy upbringing.
