Pete
It's a pain in the ass. I've just filled in a form for my mate to renew his license. Under the question "Do you know any reason why X shouldn't have a firearm, any stress, family troubles..."etc.etc I wrote "No" underneath it. I've had it returned with a letter from West Mercia saying that my answer wasn't long enough and could I please elaborate. So I'm going to send it back "No. My friend isn't going to run around shooting people, he's really not like that".

Pete
You need a secure bolted to the wall cabinet for the firearm is you're keeping one. I think Doug did a good post last year about fire arm laws. They've made it very difficult for you to legally get a gun, but if you want one down the street I'm sure it's fairly simple. Didn't you watch Emmerdale Farm last week? Zak Dingle got a new gun but hadn't licensed it or locked it up.

Carlos T
bit of a nasty story but 1 of my mum's friends son was out hunting with friends and some how the gun went off and hit him in the face! yes a shotgun in the face. should have died the docs said sumthing like a 97% chance he should off died. was a freak accident but he is still alive and kicking so just make sure you be careful
