  1. I have finally almost completed my engine swap on my J-spec NA to a J-spec TT. i have attached some pictures of my car undergoing the engine swap. we started the engine and it ran!!! with a couple of problems. the engine isnt idling very well at the moment and we did a test drive and it seemed as if the second turbo wasnt coming online. this could probably be due to old vaccum lines, which need changing. I had got the TT engine from malaysia and it was probably out of a Toyota Aristo as the sump was completely different from the supra's. due to this i had to use the NA's sump and drill and fit a flange to support the turbo oil return line. Aristo's only came in automatic transmission and the engine wiring loom was very different from that of the supra so i got hold of a J-spec 6spd supra's ECU and wiring loom and have fitted it. I shall update the pics soon and keep you'll updated!!! Edit: The NA's Tachometer does not work with the TT engine.
  2. Thanks for your reply. Well unfortunately the NA supra's Tachometer doesnt work with the TT engine so i cant exactly tell at what rpm this is happening. well definately there is no pull in the higher rpm and i am quite certain that i am not hitting redline. will check out all the hoses tomorrow.
  3. HI, I have finally completed my engine swap NA--TT but having some trouble with the TT engine. The J-spec TT engine seems to have good power in low revs but completely loses power in higher revs. I have never driven a TT supra so far so dont know how it is supposed to feel in higher revs. could this be a problem with the sequential turbo's??? anything particular i should be looking at??? Cheers adi
  4. Hi, Does the J-Spec TT engine have 4 or 6 connector wires for the Idle control sensor???. I am a little confused because i am performing an engine swap and the engine i am using is from Malaysia and has been taken off from a Toyota Aristo (2JZGTE) and i am using a J-spec TT's wiring loom on the engine. the engine that i m using has 6 connector points on the Idle control sensor but the wiring loom has only 4 wires. is the wiring loom from the J-spec TT supposed to have only 4 wires or 6 ??? Cheers Adi
  5. well i live part of the year in Exeter and the other part of it in India and my supra is in India and its between 30-35 deg there!
  6. HI, i have a BPU J-spec TT and thinking of installing a set of IK20 iridium spark plugs. are they suitable??? the atmospheric temp where i live is between 30-35 deg C (if that matters at all) Cheers adi
  7. Hi, Does anyone have a link to the wiring diagram for the JAP spec TT. (was told it is a little different from the UK/US spec)
  8. Looks exaclty like mine from SSautochrome. (mine's the same size as well).
  9. Hi, well i was just wondering if there are any differences in the suspension setup between the NA supra and the TT? cheers adi
  10. does the NA have the same airbox as the TT. (in terms of filter element size, airbox size, external air routing etc.)
  11. no clue about the turbo, but some people who run the SSautochrome turbo kit for the supra say that it works fine. i bought an intercooler from them and i am happy with it.
  12. i ve been considering on ordering a turbo, and wastegate from them as well. well may be i ll wait until 'leett' get s his and then find out if they r reliable bfore i get one. LOL But i did order an intercooler from them and it s quite nice!!!
  13. well getting back to the getrag 6spd tranny on the NA, some of the later models did come with them but they are rare.
  14. Well, i was just wondering if anyone on the forum has turbocharged their NA supra. are they as fast as a BPU twin turbo car??? just wondering because i once considered doing this myself until i decided to go for a TT swap. cheers adi
  15. you dont have to worry about changing the pump. UK pump is more than adequate for hybrids.
  16. well... tried contacting SSAutochrome to get the compressor maps for the turbos but havent got any response as yet.
  17. Hi, well got a link for one of the Turbo's, do you think this is suitable for the 2JZGTE http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=7955242923&rd=1 cheers adi
  18. just got an intercooler from SSAutochrome and its quite nice!!! but was thinking of buying a turbo from them, has anyone tried out their turbos??? cheers adi

  20. Hi, i m thinking of upgrading my fuelling on my supra (jap spec) so what s the best choice for injectors that would fit straight into the standard fuel system??? thanks adi
  21. well i dont think that mine is a rising rate type. what are the physical differences between the rising rate and the normal fuel press. reg. in the FSE brand. thanks adi
  22. hi, just wondering, i have an FSE fuel pressure regulator and want to know if it can be installed on the supra TT. i have heard that only a boost variable fuel pressure regulatore can be used in a turbo application. is this true??? thanks adi
  23. Hi, my supra runs the following mods:- walbro 255lph pump Greddy BCC manual boost controller de-catted exhaust k&N intake aftermarket intercooler boost gauge A/F gauge thinking of installing the Apexi S-AFC next so just wanted to know if it is better than the Greddy E-manage or not??? will it make a significant difference if i install one of these piggy back fuel units???? should i change my injectors to the export spec injectors(550cc) along with its resistor pack at this point??? thanks
  24. Hi, is the euro spec a better platform for upgrade over the jap spec??? do the difference in A/F metering systems between both cars affect performance in any way???
