  1. i see what you mean, i guess in most cases you get what you pay for, i mainly got this as im going BPU aswell mate, but when and if i do go single, ill be going for one of the big boys, like greddy or blitz!
  2. all im saying guys is that, surely this is better than my battered 10 year old SMIC. I know its not greddy or any of the other branded IC's out there, but it met my budget, and for now i dont have to be worrying about a flaky IC.
  3. it just did'nt, i expected to, but it just sat theyre perfect, all i had to do was move away the collant over fill bottle and thats it.
  4. it did not need the pas steering one, but the bracket which holds the coolant bottle was bent back slighly, thats about it. no other modifications required. now just waiting for my do luck bumper to arrive from Paul E and pray that i dont need to get it modified!!!
  5. mate got it from ebay, it cost me £450 all in from jap, was delivered within 3 days, got the link here somewhere, try this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HYBRID-ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT-INTERCOOLER-KIT-TOYOTA-SUPRA_W0QQitemZ8000920903QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem quality is pretty good, fitting is a little bit of a pain, the pipe works seem to not meet up with each other at the ends, but a little fiddling about with it and its on rock solid, no leaks, took it for a test run and staright away was seing 0.9bar bosst, on stock with just back box. it looks the dogs, 780mm wide so covers the bumper nicely. HTH
  6. oooh tempting but i need one, i have tried my best but seriously cannot get my stock box back in, it just wont have it, maybe the pipework is different on my FMIC its a GT Hybrid, nothing special, its just my stock intercooler was pretty dead so needed a replacement. im aware of the issues with stock vs induction, but i have never notice a great deal of difference, im sure you do loose power through heat soak, but not a great amount for me to be worrying about.
  7. whats the noise like on one of those mate?
  8. you still got the induction kit mate?
  9. got all the cuts and grazes, 4 hours later i have my FMIC installed, will try and get some pics soon as, im peaking boost at 0.9 bar easily now whereas before was getting up to 0.8 bar max with aftermarket exhaust an no other mods. cant beleive its made such a difference, on the down side because of the piping in the way i can no longer use the stock airbox so will have to go for a full induction, any recomendations guys?
  10. i twos that, it may be nothing mate, when your paranoid you see and hear thing which arent really there, i went through the same when i first got my soop.
  11. at 38.5k miles highly unlikely unless the car has not been looked after, (oil starvation, little oil change) but from what you describe it sounds like the turbos, are you lossing oil? if so how much? is it smoking blue on idle? any whining noise from the turbos? (not the usual whistle noise) Good luck mate, keep us posted. plenty of help on here and solid advice from others.
  12. how much clearance is there compared to the veilside which is pretty huge and not much clearance? cheers guys.
  13. what dimension is your FMIC? cheers mate
  14. well if your told to stop in the first place then maybe you would stop, oh btw he was shot 7 times in the head and once in the shoulder.
  15. I have a FMIC on its way just debating whether or not i should get a garage to do it, one Q on my mind is will i need to cut the nose cone or will it be ok? anyone here with do luck nose cone (samurai nose miami gt sell, do luck copy) and FMIC installed incounter any problems?? cheers guys. wkdtime.
  16. hope it all works out, no matter what people say on this forum there will be times when you will be thinking about him and what you guys went through, but like alot peeps say on this forum is that time WILL heal it and someday you will look back at this and laugh. . . plenty of more fish in the pond, soneone out there that will treat you right. like you said more important issues to sort out right now like getting a roof over your head. . good luck you got plenty of support here, just ask. 17. had the same problem on mine, it was the valve stem seals, you might find some mornings its fine. id get it sorted as soon as, if you just go on as it is over a long period of time you will get carbon build up in the engine where the oil has been burnt on startup not to mention oil loss, as it will loose oil whilst driving as well. for the time being if your due an oil change use 15w50 fully synth mobil one until you manage to sort out the problem. HTH
  18. i had a late 93 on an L plate and it was a rev 2, your probably right as there were a few early ones so i have heard, but 99% of them are post 94. this one is defo a rev 2 as i have seen it.
  19. 1993 K will be rev 2 mate, will have bigger breaks like rev 3's and most likely TRC and thats about it. not the 3sgtE Gen 2. HTH BTW i have seen the car and its pretty good nik and they're a joy to drive...sorry for the hijack paul!
  20. will do so mate, it may be the cats or plugs, but if it does not do it at wot or normail driving, may well be the cats. going BPU soon. will keep you posted.
  21. ngk's are what im runnning btw!
  22. the revs sometime sit low, HTH...? at around 400rpm
