  1. Hi, i have both cats in and running 1bar day in day out..... However, please note that i am running high output race spec cats.
  2. I thought there are two actuators :s or are there two of these black controllers on the car.... ie: one for the front turbo and one for the back turbo :s could anyone send me a copy of the service manual pages regarding the turbo vacum control system / and where this control unit figures in the system. [email protected]
  3. Ok, getting a bit confused, so where exactly does the blue arrow pipe go and where exactly does the yellow arrow pipe go ? running out of time :s
  4. Does anyone know what pipe goes to what turbo wastegate? I have to do this tonight and havent got a clue as i dont own a service manual with the correct diagram in could someone put some arrows on my photo and write the correct attachment to the turbos on it.... I hope you can help.
  5. OK, i am sure this is the stock boost control system.... There are two pipes going into it next to each other. If standing at the front of the car looking over the rad, which pipe controls the front turbo and which one for the back ? At the moment they are blocked off as my car has an aftermarket boost control system. I would like to re-connect them so i can remove my boost controller for my SVA on Tuesday. Please help if you know.
  6. Hi all, Does anyone know exactly what this is, i think its the stock vaccum regulator for the wastegates on the turbos ie: controls the boost levels. Not sure as i am not used to Supras as yet. there is a little blue plug that slots into the bottom of it, my one has been disconnected, probably due to an aftermarket boost controller. Am i right about all of this or is this something that is nothing to do with the turbos that SHOULD be plugged back in. At the moment i am leaving it un-plugged as there seem to be no adverse effects. Any help would be good. Sorry, no pics as its in a bloody awkward place to take a photo (sits directly under the front turbo.
  7. If i am not mistaken, doesnt the UK spec have an Air flow metre along with a MAP sensor, from bitter experience with many cars, air flow metres do not work well with atmospheric dump valves. Simple non tec explination is that fuel is mapped to the volume of air passing the air flow metre, this air that has been accounted for is then lost to the atmosphere when the butterfly closes and the dump valve opens causing a sudden loss in the predicted fuel map.... Hence causing irratic engine response. Jap spec cars with only a MAP sensor that is located in the Plenum chamber do not suffer as the fuel is only mapped once the air has gone past the butterfly hence loss of air through an atmospheric dump valve has no effect what-so-ever as the air loss is BEFORE the butterfly. Hmmm.... tried to keep it as simple as poss. Sorry Also as it happens, cars fitted with a Matrix or Vortex style Air Flow Metre systems are far less prone to this problem... Things like Mitsubishi Gto TT's etc.
  8. Still wondering if the car in the photo is yours and from the Keighly trade centre Just asking as i went to look at it a while back.
  9. You are very correct, i got the wrong one i will give these guys a call. Thank you for your help
  10. Looks like i will wait until July.... Unless i got the wrong SVA in Liverpool, i was told they ONLY test the cars and dont carry out any work what-so-ever. In fact they were very blunt with me. As for the de-reg doc, thats not a problem, 24hr FAX turnaround from Japan. Im just worried about this talk of the change of procedure in April that everyone is going on about. So it looks like it back to asking for the parts again so i can be on the safe side.
  11. Yep, its a July 95 car... How long does it usually take the Liverpool SVA guys to do a car ?
  12. You may have just saved my life.... I will contact him

  14. I have my 96 car on Jap plates at the moment as i brought it back with me (road legal for 12 months as i have my Jap reg documents and Jap tax disc) i am looking at getting it SVA'd so i can register it to british plates.... I have extensively gone through every little bit of infor from the Minestry and VOSA and have not found anything relating to changing the goal poasts again. Please let me know if there is HARD facts from VOSA that i have missed.... I will need to start looking for stock bits
  15. I have a custom Ti effort with 6" pipework front to back.... Sets alarms off, sets dogs off, shuts nova drivers up but drowns my poor stereo not bad at 70 on the motorway though
  16. Is the car in the picture yours....... Did it come from keyleigh trade centre ?
  17. Do our cars have two seperate thermostats one for the water jacket and another for the heater supply ? I bled the system from the top last night and it seems to have worked, i let it cool overnight and fired it up again this morning and the heaters still seem to be working.... They are not boiling hot though. Right, at the weekend im going to flush the matrix with flushing agent as i know the flap gear is working fine, then blow it out with an air line. Will let you know how it goes :s
  18. Hi all, Please could someone help me out, my TT heaters are blowing stone cold….. the electronics and flaps are all A-OK, I have made sure the rad is topped up (as I was told the Mk IV is a self bleeding cooling system. Is there a heater matrix bleed valve or a highest point air bleed as I cant find one anywhere and I’m sure it’s a simple case of an air lock in the heater matrix that needs bleeding off. Please, please, please help….. I’m FROZEN
