  1. You did well deciphering that one Cliff.
  2. I can't recommend skidpan training enough and if you get the opportunity then take it.
  3. Now I've taken a deep breath I would just like to say this. I've heard before that Carl is a nice chap in real life, and I'm sure no doubt he is, but his internet persona is Kilo Bravo. I have to admit, that I even lol from some of his posts, but of late it's just been too much. I can't remember the last time I had a rant like that, and whilst I won't remove my post, but I did go into overdrive rant mode. Apologies.
  4. Yeah it's you. This is a community of likeminded enthusiasts who enjoy the odd heated debate, a bit of banter, a laugh or two, and a bit of a get together from time to time. But YOU , yes YOU are upsetting the dynamic of this forum. Is that your intention? Does it make you feel good? Do you enjoy annoying people. Do you think you're funny with the irrelevant drivel you post? Constantly. It's people like you that was one of the reasons why I gave up helping the club out and boy did I give up alot of my time helping here. You popped up on the mods radar early on, and I was all for banning you. Wish I did. The Joke is tired now Carl. Post wit. Perhaps you get a kick out of seeing how people react to you. If you do, then you don't deserve to be a part of this club. Very rarely have I encountered people here that annoy the living shit out of me, but you are one and that takes alot of doing because I'm a pretty objective kind of person.
  5. PCSO= Police Come and Sort it Out. Good luck.
  6. I think they should leave it well alone. Revivals of "classic" TV often fails to impress.
  7. I would imagine your major sin is onanism.
  8. But they shouldn't have been. The BBC has had a very strong editorial policy since the invasion of Iraq. Up until that point, I thought of the Beeb as being one of the finest broadcasters in the world. Then they lost all credibility in my eyes, as they made sure that EVERY broadcast it made about the Iraq invasion was biased with their own particular slant. They should report it as it is, not as how they see it and yet cry foul when any outside party takes interest. I appreciate that they are a state owned and publicly funded public broadcaster that manages to great effect to avoid undue influence from the Govt, but at the same time, there is still too much political leaning within the organisaton for them to be truely impartial. Sky News FTW11111!!!!!
  9. We booked direct with Iceland Air, they have had some cracking deals on recently. I would definately recommend doing the Golden Circle tour. We didn't and we wished we had the time to do it, but everyone we spoke to raved about it. That can be booked via their website or you can book at the hotel. In retrospect we would have booked out tours once there, so that we could have managed our time better. We stayed in the Hilton, but there is a wide range of hotels to suit all budgets. Alcohol is alot more expensive there but being canny we bought several bottles of wine in Duty Free at Heathrow on the way out and had the odd lazy afternoon or two in our room. It wasn't shockingly expensive though and there are some bargains to be had. And everything that you buy as gifts etc you can obtain a tax refund at the airport on the way back. It was the first time where I've been abroad where fellow Brits didn't let the side down. Not a chav in sight. Long may it remain that way.
  10. I did get them cut last week and my beard trimmed. Does that count?
  11. One more to go for you then. Happy Birthday
  12. The Aurora is easy to photograph, provided you know what to do. Tripod, low f stop setting (mine only goes as low as f5.6 on that lens) ISO 800 and 30 second exposure. Some of the tourists got off the bus with their cameras and took pics using flash. Needless to say, all they got was a black screen and soon got the message. That particular flare lasted about 20 minutes or so varying in intensity. All in all I guess we had about 40 minutes or so of really good Aurorae.
  13. They won't be interested. It was a damage only collision with both parties details exchanged at scene. All your legal obligations have been met. When Police report an accident, their role is not to apportion blame, but to try and establish what happened. Those details are then requested by insurance companies, who have their own assessors and will look at the facts and then establish balme (if any) from there. In your case, just fill out your form, submit your pictures, and let your insurance company decide who is to balme. That is what you pay them for. If it is a stone bonker non fault on your part, then your company will play hardball with theirs. You will, in the meantime, have to pay your excess, it's in your terms & conditions, but if blame is apportioned to the other party then you will at some point get your excess back. Could take years though if she isn't having it.
  14. So he was aware of the problems and drove the car anyway?
  15. We were meant to go out on Saturday for a Northern Lights experience, however the weather was too bad and it was cancelled. Luckily the weather cleared up last night and we were taken out about 30km out of Reykjavik into the mountains. We waited for about an hour in freezing temperatures, but all we saw was a slight bright band in the sky, that looked like a light cloud. We were a bit gutted to say the least, as this was the event we were most looking forward to. We all trudged back onto the bus and headed back towards town, when suddenly the sky lit up. We stopped and I managed to get a few pics.
  16. Wifey and I have just got back from a long weekend to celebrate her "landmark" birthday! It lived up to everything we expected, just could have done with another day there to explore a bit further. Anyway here's a few pics. More pics follow
  17. I think I has ingested about a litre of the stuff when I posted that. It was late and I was tired.
  18. I'm jealous really. I get my kicks from a 130bhp MX5 FFS. P.s sorry I can't make your birthday.
